We recognize that there are people in the world who appreciate getting special offers such as bargains, new products, closeouts, discounts etc that may be of interest to them.

Right now on the internet there seems to be a prolific group of folks helpful enough to send such special offers to people who may have given their email address for some other purpose, to some associate or affiliate or business partner of some company somewhere. Perhaps they entered a contest, shopped online, requested information, told-a-friend, or checked a box indiating their interest in "Movies", "Music", "Outdoor Activities", "Hobbies" or something else that put them on a targeted or untargeted list of email addresses for sale or trade.

One thing that seems to set these bulk mailers apart from those sending less desireable or less legal offers, is that these senders are comparatively stable in their use of IP address blocks and domain names, appearing confident that they are operating within the law.

We thought it would be great to create a special category for these special emailers, so people who like bargains and special offers, can sort these emails into their own special folder or mailbox to peruse avidly each day.

Each individual user of the Outbound Index, is free to configure their own desired action based on pass/fail of this check, including scoring, accepting unconditionally, rejecting (but we strongly urge you not to miss out on special offers), flagging for sorting and more.

Criteria

To be included in this exclusive RHS list, domains should be:

• owned by the companies or individuals who specialize in helping other companies do email marketing
• use their own servers, not hijacked servers
• use their own domains, not forged envelope-from addresses
• have a privacy policy, AUP, or practices which allow affiliate, partner, associate or third party acquisition of email address lists, broad permission marketing and similar policies
• provide information by email about little known products, discounts / bargains or limited time offers on well known products, special values or similar
• exhibit a stable and regular presence in the email marketing scene

Since additional details on criteria could result in spammers who sell illegal products attempting to match the profile to get on this list, additional criteria are reserved at this time.
